Could you plz detail when 15 segments are limiting? Is that really such

I was playing with my hair setup in houdini (out of curves, no
predefined hair there),
and i found 15 segments are enough for most of the cases (using curve
interpolation in
prman when rendering out). Also, i wanted to keep low the number of
segments to avoid
slowing down the entire system to a crawl.
