DOF with Zdepth in After Effects 2004-03-25 - By Rob Wuijster
Back Now we're discussing all the apps, this would apply to Digital Fusion as well I would say?. I don't have Shake running and don't really like AE(6).. I do have Digital Fusion running, but never tried it -in combination with XSI-. Just started to explore this FX Tree/DF combo, that's why ;)

Or just render out a depth pass. Either use the built in Xsi one or do it by putting a grad texture on the whole scene. Put all the scene geometry in a group, put a texture projection and material on the group. It's a whole lot easier to control than the builtin depth pass and for me, zdepth is a waste of time.
