Back Hi there, I'm trying to follow Christine's mail about the subscription. I sent twice an email with "Subscribe xsi@(protected) <mailto:xsi@(protected)> " as the subject to xsi@(protected) and got "bounced" back. What am I doing wrong ? Cheers, F.

Hello everyone, On March 24th we will be launching a new product - the XSI EXP for Half-Life 2 - a free EXP variant designed to allow Half-Life players and enthusiasts to modify props, models, and characters for the Half-Life 2 game non-commercially.
There's a lot of interest and we anticipate rapid growth in the user community associated with this product, and are expecting over 250,000 downloads in the first few weeks. As a result, we've decided to take some measures to ensure that the services we offer to the commercial (paid) user community are affected as little as possible.
To that end, beginning this Wednesday and for the immediate future, the mailing list subscription procedure for all principle mailing lists will change. Automated open subscription will be closed, and in order to have a new email account subscribed or unsubscribed, it will now be necessary to have an existing list member post a request to the list. Simply post a message to the list with the phrase 'Subscribe/Unsubscribe so and so' in the subject line of the email and we will follow-up.
Lists affected include: xsi@(protected), 3d@(protected), 3dgames@(protected), and discussion@(protected) This change is preventative, and is intended to ensure that we can continue to offer a high quality of service and preserve the existing community of XSI users. We apologize for any inconvenience, and hope that this change has minimal impact on you all.
Thanks, Christine
