The pulldown menu in the Lattice is a "combo" box just like the list of
camera presets types etc.
These are in fact different display methods.
You could switch lattice combo box menu in the SPDL file, to be a
boolean, or radio button, or a slider (This opposite is also true - when
you build custom Psets and want to create a combo box, you can)
Open up the SPDL file by Cntrl+Shift+Right click on the second lattice
name in the property page. Then Edit
Half way down you will see
Parameter "interpz"

Name = "Z";
Description = "Z Interpolation Type";
Value = 0;

While it would be nice for consistency, it is a different display method
- and it is a small price to pay to get this flexibility

Pet peeve.
If you click once and let go on the View pulldown (User, Top Front
etc..) it
stays down. Click once and let go of "Primitive" and it stays down.
But if I click on, say, Interpolation in the Lattice ppg to switch from
Linear to Curve I have to click once and HOLD and then drag/pull down to
select another choice. If I just click and let go the pulldown pops out
and
then goes away.
I wish they all worked like the first example.
