Render Region Woes

If I had a car, the bumper sticker would read "I Hate My Render Region in
3.5.1.1"

Yeah, there's the "slow" and "long pre-process" and "refreshes if you look
at it wrong" but here's the cherry on top:  Now, whenever a) the region
finishes rendering or b) I Shift-Q and turn the Render Region 'off',
Softimage decides that it's going to go to La-La Land.  Where is La-La?  Who
knows, but it takes me going to the Task Bar and double clicking on the XSI
button to bring the app back up to full screen.

EVERY         SINGLE         TIME.

It's not a lock-up or a crash it's just a ... disappear.  If this ever
happened to anyone else and they found a fix for it, please let me know.

Thanks,

marc
