Back You can turn lens shaders off for a partition under "active effects" in the render options.
If you really want to get complicated you can also map the bypass parameter through the lens shader by pre-rendering or doing a capture and growing the luma a bit which works okay too, and mapping that to the "bypass" parameter in the lens shader (there is a tutorial on this on softimage.com somewhere).
