Back I have yet to understand why it needs to be so difficult to copy nodes and branches in the FX Tree in a package like XSI where all other things work so smooth.
I know from previous threads that Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V in FX Tree are sensitive to window focus but why then is this not fixed or helped by proper copy Paste functions in the menu?
Currently I have a problem copying a node tree where only some but not all nodes and clips are copied, leaving me with unlinked nodes and having to recreate the nodes (the animation in them) and relink it.
It can be done yes, but why is the Copy/Pste functions so flaky in FX Tree? Is there a secret magic word or a hidden script I need to invoke to make my life using FX Tree easier?
Coming from Illusion I really like the way FX Tree works and use it more and more, but simple stuff like this tends to make some days bad ones.
Just so this is not an all negative post, I will try and be a little constructive too on FX Tree, with V4.0 coming up:
1. Timeline for clip handling would be a godsend - frame offset numbers in input nodes are not as intuitive :) 2. Direct clip extrapolation in FX Tree input nodes, loop, bounce, hold etc. - I know I can do that on clips, but it takes extra steps to load a clip and enter the clip properties timecontrol 3. Please - let us load more than one clip at a time from the same folder!! 4. Transform3D needs smoothing out, so the output does not change the size of the image you paste it onto (maybe this is more an Over node issue - better center controls for animation - motion blur would be nice 5. Better Viewer zoom tools - zoom centered on mouse, centered on center image, integer zoom, so pixels stay intact so one can see what happens to them 6. Image centered in viewer pr. default and by reset center button 7. Better quality Radial Blur Zoom - there are gridline pattern artifacts now
End of rant and suggestions for today :)
Best Regards
