Final Gathering and transparency 2004-03-10 - By Jeff McFall
Back Ive got several constant shaded objects that I am animating transparency on in a scene that uses final gathering.
When these objects are 100% transparent they still create "shadows". The only way I have found to remove these shadows is to turn secondary rays off. Removing secondary rays has the unwanted effect of removing the objects light emitting ability when the objects are opaque.
Is this a feature / limitation of final gathering, a bug, or the dreaded - I am missing something obvious?
