Hi,
If you have Active Python installed on your computer. You can use this script.
http://www.rickw3d.com/XSI/Python/delClustMat.py
It will delete all materials (and cluster materials) from the selected objects.
Just copy/paste the script in the script editor. Select the objects and hit run.
