Hello All,

I am rigging a simple biped and every time I parent the hip or
shoulder to the spine I get a transform node in between the child and the
parent. When I unparent them the transform node stays at the top of
the arm or leg hierarchy.
Does any body have an idea why Maya create this transform node?

Another question I have is:
Is it possible to detach skin on selected joints. Supposely I need to fix
the finger joints. Can I detach skin on the finger joints, fix the joints
and re-attach the finger joints on the hand skin?

Thanks in advance,

Tereza
