Render Region and lockups --a little OT

Render Region and lockups --a little OT

2004-03-08       - By Simon Wutherich

 Back
Ever since 3.5.1 the render region updates as soon as I pull up the render
region PPG.  It used to update only AFTER a change was made.....sometimes I
have to sit through 30 seconds of Pre-processing before I can cancel it.
Can we switch that back for v4?

Simon

I've had the exact same problem before the 3.5.1.1. update. Now I
almost never have it. One thing I did note was that it would help to
set it to non-autorefresh and rgb only before I did my first render
region of the morning. I'm running a Quadro4 900xgl and had various
drivers. (Softimage approved and/or otherwise). It seemed to happen
no matter what drivers I used though. I've also noted that the render
region is more sensitive now as well.
