Back I have not had actual lock-ups like that, but since 3.51 the XSI gui is very unresponsive (slow) when having the renderregion open. I just updated from W2K to XP Pro and thought it might be a CPU priority setting or something along those lines. Fact is editing ppg's with renderregion open was very responsive before 3.51, and now it isn't.
