Flipbook and FXTree default format.... 2004-03-05 - By Luc-Eric Rousseau
Back if the file output node gets a 16-bit image, and the file parser is able to write a 16-bit image (for example, the SGI format) then it will write a 16-bit image.
In other words, it writes whatever it gets in the closest format the file parser supports.
so if your tree is all 8 bit but you want to write 16-bit, add a 'bit depth' operator just in front of the file output node.

I second that, .pic pleeeze!
On a related note... In the FXTree, who do you set the output depth to 16 bit? There doesn't seems to be anything other than under the nodes themselves to set depth. Do I have to set each and every process node in the tree to 16 bit to ensure that's what I get out of it?
