Thanks! that has helped to some degree. I'm kind of struggling along with
some success. Problem is, I have 3 characters to do, but it's getting there,
slowly.

Have you tried turning Normalise off in the mixer options?

Try turning Rotation mixing to Quartonion if it is set to Euler

That should stop the mixing...
