Space Gas and nebula... Just an idea.... 2004-03-04 - By Patrick Vier
Back Yes, i've tested with volumic light, but, is not possible to sculpt the volume of the light... Just an idea : Modeling an object and say that it's the volume of the light. Put the light inside, and the "photons" runs inside (and NOT outside) the volume from the light source (i use the photons word, just to show the idea). Use the weight map on the modeling object, why not, to tweak the intensity of the light along the travel of the photons inside the object (sometime more or less intensity) ... to see this inside intensity, we can use a "super volumic 3d texture (smoking stuff, etc...)" with a new weight map who controling the intensity falloff between the surface border and the center of rthe object section...
I know that my english is not perfect, but i hope that U understand what i mean... see tha picture attached.
Otherwise, i've made test with particles and it's working fine... will add some test and post an image soon...
Thank you to all.
Patrick :)
