XSI to Flame

XSI to Flame

We just did it using FBX import (to Inferno).  But it seemed to have a few
issues.....

When you export from XSI, set your scene scale up to somewhere around 100.

Switch your camera FOV to vertical instead of horizontal.  This will change
what you see through it, so you'll then have to tweak it back to look the same
as previously.  I just took a 1 frame capture and rotoscoped with it to compare
.

Then the real killer... When it comes into Flame you'll have to scale all your
curves as no matter what combinations of frame rates etc. you try, it always
seems to stretch your animation....

Having said all that, it's pretty good in that it'll bring in geometry and
lights also.

Good luck,

DAN

Anyone have any script/info to get an XSI camera into Flame - I could write
one, but am feeling lazy - I am also not sure of how to convert the FOV info
across!

 Anyone???

 Thanks

 Sandy
