Hi François, have you done your comparisons yet? I need to looking into
rendermanagement software and wondered if you had any results?

Incase anyone has done any research, which software would you recommend? It
would need to cover XSI and Maya mostly, maybe Max (cough) and lightwave at
some poiunt.

Cheers...

  Hello rendering TDs,

I am starting a detailed feature review/comparison of the various render
management software supporting or usable with XSI. I need your help for two
things.

Firstly, I would like to establish the most complete list of available
products (commercial and shareware/freeware). Here is what I have so far:

     BatchServe http://www.softimage.com/Products/ProRen/BatchS/
     Royal Render http://www.royalrender.de/
     fuRender http://www.chris-g.net/fuRender/
     RenderQ http://www.renderq.net/download.html

Secondly, I would appreciate your suggestions to help me build an extensive
feature grid that covers the various aspects of such software. Of course, there
is the obvious (commercial or shareware/freeware, Windows or/and Linux, XSI
only or also other apps friendly, etc.); but how about these little features
that make the difference for you?

Feel free to answer me privately if you don't want to crowd the XSI list.
Anyway, as I gather and organize information, I will keep everybody posted.

  Thanks a lot,
  François
