This would be a great tool to have, I think.
You can fake it using frame and fcurves with 4 keys in specific places you
have selected. Write a little script that selects those keys (or params),
and frame. Memo-cam, but work to set up. I guess you could also set up a
little custom ppg with a slider for the y and x scale of that key selection,
which would effectively give you full control over the size of your memo
window.
This is speculative. Don't know if you have access to all of this with
scripting.

That's not exactly what I'm looking for ... the snapshot just shows where a
f-curve was before alteration. There will be times where I'll be zoomed to
a range of keyframes and see one that needs up close tweaking. I zoom in to
work on that one but once I'm done I want to just pop! back out to the
previous level of zoom. Hitting "A" is waay too far out - I then have to
screw around with shift-Z'ing back to the semi-zoom I had when I started.
This all takes time and when I have a bunch of keys that I want to just
blast through to see if it works, it's a real workflow killer.
