Script based compositing... 2004-02-26 - By Adam Seeley
Back Is this one of those old SI standalones that only works with unpadded numbers though?
Would it be possible to utilize the FXtree for this? i.e. Build basic compositing trees & then pipe the images you want into them via command line?

There is a very basic command line driven compositing standalone included with XSI. It may do what you want. Open a Softimage command prompt and type composite.

Can anyone recommend a Win 2K compositing app which allows commands to be created via batch script? I know Shake can do this, but I'm hoping there's a cheaper solution as I'm not looking for a gui at all, just a few basic commands to be applied to images in batch en masse (image scale (with average), comp FG - matte + BG, RGB gamma shifts, etc etc). I know this is an XSI user list, but a lot of us have contact with compositing - any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance Dale
