Change this line in your XSI.bat
start "" C:\Softimage\XSI_3.5.1\Application\bin\xsi.exe %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8
%9

to this:
start "" /belownormal C:\Softimage\XSI_3.5.1\Application\bin\xsi.exe %1 %2 %3
%4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9

Subject: Setting XSI cpu Priority

Howdy all, is there a way to set a programs cpu priority when you start it? (so
XSI automatcily starts in 'Below Normal') my machine is almost unusuable (dual
3ghz xeon, HT on) when rendering, even a region. when I have it set to Normal.

when I remember I set it manually...but its a pain when I forget :(

Specs -

Dual 3ghz Xeon, HT enabled
2gb Ram
WinXP Pro sp1.

cheers

James,
