Back Nachrichtsorry I should've said....I got a feeling that the problem was due to duplicating passes...the first time I experienced the problem (last week) was after duplicating a pass and I found that my spotlight had gone missing from its partition...after this the scene crashed every time I tried to save it... -- -- Original Message -- -- From: FLINX@(protected) To: XSI@(protected) Sent: Wednesday, February 25, 2004 10:29 AM Subject: AW: Passes introducing bugs and corrupting scenes...
guys, you were scaring me for a second here,
i'm doing very heavy passing at the moment, but no problems here what so ever. i'm using the jbj-rendertools (they rock!) and i don't have any problems configuring, deleting, etc. passes.

Subject: Passes introducing bugs and corrupting scenes...
Since moving to 3.5.1, our last 3 projects have seen our scene files get corrupted dramatically after doing work with passes. Delete the passes (if you can without XSI crashing) and the bugs and defects disappear... the typical symptons we have found are:
- object properties disappearing in the explorer - nothing refreshes anymore. i.e: no changes are taken into account in the explorer, it still displays the old info until forcing a refresh with F5. Framing in the viewports only frames after pressing "f" and then forcing a viewport camera move/orbit/pan/dolly/whatever - switching between passes crashes XSI - deleting passes crashes XSI
and many more...
Anyone else experienced this?
