Repeat edgecolour

Hey all, got an odd question for ya.

When you have a planar projection smaller than the
object it's projecting at, the last pixel on the edge of
the image is repeated indefinitely on the object in
all four directions.

This doesn't show up in the render tho,
the part of the surface outside the texture has the
underlying constant shading visible instead so the
texture is cut off where the image ends.
I can't get the render to look like the OGL view,
Is there something I can do to get this behaviour?
I might have to resort to OGL capture :-)
The texture is just white pre-animated text on constant
black,  and the stretch-effect gives me just the
result I want.

This image should explain it:

Please tell me there's a little switch somewhere ;-)

Cheers
