Thick Cloth 2004-02-19 - By Oz Adi
Back I did quite alot of syflexing last month.
a suggestion is to do the simulation on a grid, and *after* it's done and cached, select all of the grid's polygons, and extrude them on axis, to give the cloth thickness. the new polygons should be "weighted" in the symulation.
I am not sure how good will it work, I used this method to add thickness and stitches bumps to the side of my clothes, and it worked perfectly..

in the example I show, I was asked to make them real gentle, but initialy, I made them thicker and rougher, and it worked fine.
