that article is the result of a long thread that Zaon created, and
posted in, on cgtalk to ask opinions about it.
I still find more then a few things flawed, and Zaon sort of made this
weird point of him wanting to appeal to newbies.
so he left out some important stuff like comparing output/parsing of RIB
vs MI, SDKs and their interfaces and whatnot.
he's also had very limited exposure to film production on any of the
mentioned engines I seem to understand.
if this would have been ok in a comparison between basic stuff it sort
of terminally kills all my interest toward an article that tryies to
speak about PRMan.
without RIB and SL benefits would anybody ever use renderman ? I doubt
it.
