PCI Cards [was Matrox cards] 2004-02-16 - By James Dc
Back Hi Felix
dont know about any other xsilister's, but I just found my email re-posted again in my inbox...bizarre...
anyway, got the 3rd monitor up and running, and with the Quadro4 running as primary, and a shitty tempory matrox as the secondary (photoshop / 2d) it all runs like a charm....on the most part.
I dont run any part of XSI on the 3rd screen, it runs purely on the first two screens (Quadro4) and I keep anything 2D on the 3rd screen. granted, I havent tried it, and maybe when I get this replacement geforcefx card, i may be able to extend the opengl across some more, but im wary of this, as its never worked properly in the past (with single head solutions)
I seem to have lost my Nvidia control panel...now this could just be a driver reinstall, I havent tried yet, as its running fine, and windows shutdown, (you know the part in XP, where the whole desktop fades to grayscale) takes a long, long time. (hitting enter ovverides it of course, so its no reat problem)
but apart from that...you need a big desk :)
james,
