Hi Cris,

What OS and Service pak are you using?  Are you installing the latest
version 1246 which you can find here

remove the SPM software from the add remove programs
menu in Control Panel?

yes im logged as admin, tcp is working because im connectedto internet,
i have disable firewall and antivirus protection and i still get this
message:
installation of the NT service[spm license server] as failed.
license server will not run.
to install the service later on do:lictools -install

where can this command be done(anyway if ots the solution)

anyway do the usual bunch of checks, are you logged in as administrator
? is TCP/IP working properly ? do you have an antivirus or a firewall
