we got it sorted out > see the presidents mail earlier today.
it's gone in 3.511 if you use the scene as is.
in 3.5 i had to attach the eyeballs to the selective backlight that is
used for the body.
no clue why, but how ever - it's fine now.

Dominique, have you tried switching your raytraced shadow options (in
render
options) from regular to sorted or segmented? Doesn't look like this is
the issue, but it's worth a shot.
