That waaaas funny Hans. Now you are outside looking in or is that inside
looking out. Speaking of which.

As a new user I have the right to be curious and with this my curiosity
resolved further convex and concave rationale from the inner and outer working
of tS .  When further extrapolating with emmanuels method towards learning its
functional use I found this interesting and practical use. Here is what I found
.

To continue or extend emmanuels method:
In part your method may also be extrapolated further and extended from
architectural design to utility design.  The making of molds or dies are some
use considerations. trueSpace can exemplify this facilitating technique in its
workspace for demonstration purposes of a multitude of design proposals before
commiting to the actual process of making a mold.

Consider plaster work or candle making as simple examples which requires
artistic flavour and at times ridgid precision. truespace has both tools
available in its toolset.

How:
With the editmode and applying the editing tools an objects face may be created
for design of:

Inward or outward facings as an inside form within an exterior cast form
Inward or outward facings in an inside or inner cast form

They can be saved as negative space as well in a library for later use and
design modification.

Scaling may be done with the object info panel using even multiples of the size
dimension( I think) without deformation.

Rubber and other molds may be designed and specifically articulated to
dimension using the object info panel. Once a workspace design is completed it
can be referenced for transfer to the actual type of mold whether plaster or
other material. Costings can also be established to complete the design work
efforts.  Given marketing, costs are resolved to profit and everybody is happy.

A Very interesting method that and a very interesting forum !

David

An OT comment I cannot resist:

There used to be a small house in Iceland that was turned inside out,
wallpapers on the convex side and exterior boarding on the concave side.
So it was the biggest house in the world, because all universe except a
few cubic meters was "inside" it.
