Hi Matt,

I dont remember seeing a confirmation about what is listed under "Device" -
does this say "Direct 3D HAL" or "RGB Emulation"? That does sometimes
spontaneously change for me, and makes a world of difference. I did see someone
asking about that earlier, but didnt see the reply as to what it is set to :)

HTH!
  Tom

I am using the D3D mode. Doesn't seem to make a difference for me which ever it
is.

Drivers should be updated already but I will check to see whats new. I didn't
do anything there.

  Matt,

Which Solid Render Display are you operating in; OpenGL or D3D? Try both.
I've had better luck with either depending on the gfx card being used at the
  time.
Also, I thought someone had mentioned drivers, (but I can't find the
reference that I thought I had read), but some driver versions play better
than others. If you've recently updated your drivers and the performance
dropped, go back to the previous driver. If you don't have the latest
  drivers, try them.
