Perhaps I was a little unclear now that I posted my original message.

I will not be making the mask into an SDS object, which would destroy the look
I wanted, I am going for the "blocky" squarish resemblance look so it would not
look right to me if it was an SDS object.

I was trying to say, is that I was finding it difficult to mold my polygonal
mask, onto my SDS head, for obvious reason to me, molding the mask onto a SDS
head, trying to follow the curvatures of the head and make the mask look "like
it fits" onto his head is the challenge.

If by chance I were to make my mask and SDS object, it would then take on a
strange look from what I have seen. If you know SDS well enough you would know
what it might look like, if not, I can easily give a screen shot.

So, in my last thought, taking my SDS head, and modeling my polygonal mask, and
combining the two for a natural look seems to take it's toll on my personal
modeling experience in TS. I'm not that skilled of a modeler compared to most
here, after all, I have been conforming and designing this character head since
February, LOL.

The mask is definitely a neat project for me, and I cannot wait to get some
textures on it, but that is.... another email.

I don't see any necessity for making the 'mask' into an SDS object: it looks
'smooth' enough. The only point to SDS is to limit the number of polygons
you actually have to create and texture (and manipulate if somehow
animated). In other words, you have alredy modeled the mask well past the
point necessary for an SDS transition.

PS this message got bounced because it grew to big from the original post so
I'm resending.

For the sake of my character I won't say this is an oxygen mask, but
rather a unique breathing aparatus :). Go figure the year 3046 and use your
imagination :). A green liquid in the "tube", well it's interesting. I'm
anxious to get this onto the character, however, it's quite difficult to
mold onto an SDS surface. I would make the breathing aparatus an SDS object,
but then I loose the "block" look I am going for.

This has been an issue, trying to model polygons around my SDS head. LOL
