I don't see any necessity for making the 'mask' into an SDS object: it looks
'smooth' enough. The only point to SDS is to limit the number of polygons
you actually have to create and texture (and manipulate if somehow
animated). In other words, you have alredy modeled the mask well past the
point necessary for an SDS transition.

 For the sake of my character I won't say this is an oxygen mask, but
rather a unique breathing aparatus :). Go figure the year 3046 and use your
imagination :). A green liquid in the "tube", well it's interesting. I'm
anxious to get this onto the character, however, it's quite difficult to
mold onto an SDS surface. I would make the breathing aparatus an SDS object,
but then I loose the "block" look I am going for.

 This has been an issue, trying to model polygons around my SDS head. LOL
