A better way to look at the issue of using your SN to get a side-grade is to
ask yourself first how many different 3D applications can one person use?  Each
has its own unique interfaces and learning curves and they all do not transfer
models and texture coordinates appropriately enough such that you can easily
move between one application and another.    So what is really to be gained by
having two applications?  Basically with enough imagination and creative energy
you can get any application to do just about anything (look at the Rust Boy
site for an example of what can be done with an application as old and
unsupported as Infini-D). Better to be the master of one than a novice in many.
In the long run, you will be better off to just pick one and master it than
flip between a number of different applications.

The only choice you should really worry about is stability....but enough has
been said on that already.

Thanks,
Dave Angelini

It's not a warrant and can't be voided that is, Caligari can't refuse you
anything. You don't have squat that can be taken from you. Plus, Caligari will
always cheerfully accept your money.

Chances are they contact Caligari to confirm the serial number.

So then... does this mean your Caligari Serial # becomes void?
