Back To the best of my knowledge there is no way around this, though I'd love it if someone could prove me wrong as we're facing a similar issue here soon, going from NTSC to film res.
I had this issue in the past working at 4:3 and 16:9 simultaneously and the hack I came up with was to have the camera set for 16:9 and import a 3:4 image plane to make sure my action was framed correctly for that ratio...But this cannot be done retroactively
The only other solution I can suggest is to play with the camera's focal length and see if you can get the right framing without changing the perspective too much...
