Back I think your RAM and video updates are the right way to go. I always urge people to consider a way to back up files as well. These days an external USB 2 drive seems like teh best combo of ease and reliability. Look for a sale (Western Digital 80 GB ext drive has been on sale for $50 after rebates, 120 GB for $70). Before I uddated the CPU or MB I think I'd consider just building a second computer.
