Sorry Kris - I just realised I forgot to answer your question. I did use a
sky dome.

Cheers
Dave

Thanks to all for the praise, comments and suggestions. All noted - Kris,
Tony and John being the latest.

I must admit I am battling with the island size(scale) and texture. I did
add an anchor rope for the boat (image not posted) and because my wife liked
it the way it was I have submitted it to the Gallery. :-)

Not much chance I know but there you have it.

But - I may still have some time to try and implement the good suggestions
that I have got from all who responded and do a second submission.

For John - the water is Simbiont tS from a stock shader named "Ocean" which
I have spent much time fine-tuning. Tweaked bump scale to .125, environment
to use ray tracing and then changed the X Y and Z scale to get the desired
surface effect. Hope that helps, John. I used the same shader for the water
in this scene -

Cheers all and thanks again - nice to see the TSML coming alive again! :-)

Dave
