A good site at Microsofts is : as it deals with Multimedia 2D 3D and gaming
action
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/games/expert/staroscik_03january27.mspx

Microsoft has info on  DirectX as well. By the way DirectX 9c is out for
download

PS:            .Net will not run on Win98 - XP is a required upgrade for this
technology.

All the best

David

Richard,

Your system should run TS7 OK but you will have to upgrade to Windows XP. Also
I would recommend 1GB RAM for serious modeling.

Well , I guess I will first invest in a new system first (and it will give me
some time to get better and better with 3D with using 6.6 for now).
If anyone has suggestions you can email me off the list (magnatude@(protected)) (I
'm thinking dual Athlon, and going XP) I want to do more animating.for my pet
project (www.SciRPG.com) and a little insight from the masses could help.
Thanks!
