Back Thanks shawn for your specific correction. Appreciate it.
I should have spelled that out as The .Net is added onto the existing XP O.S. to run .Net based applications.
TrueSpace will still have to reckon with the .net and soon ! Unless it finds a better niche in the API tolerant section of the Host OS > which could happen too and it may work better there anyway.
Therefore it is prudent to consider .Net. and what that means to the hardware and its efficiency in terms of running TrueSpace. Whether or not TS7 is .Net based or not.
In context with the initial conversation :
XP today uses the .Net runtime as a separate installation and is an addition for it to run applications which are written in a .Net language.
Without argument Microsofts current software for developing applications is .Net. as I have the MSDN Therefore more than likely TrueSpace 7 will be written in .Net. or their own secret language.
The .Net is not as proven as Java though. Regardless, Java is developing Java .Net
Prediction: The not too far off future OS will more than likely be a .net based structure. or very sophisticated structures based upon the XP efficiency. Its time is coming soon.
How about that ?
