Hi Ravenn, I don't know what a "rigged mesh" is...is that a Nurbs thing?

I dunno - OTOH I can be the Regent of Ramblers, the Baron of Blither, the Duke of Digression, so *I* don't thnik you're rambling <LOL!> To me, it's all grist for the proverbial mill :) .
But I *have* had difficulty with bones, so in a way, even if there was a really basic "poser-like" function, that would start with plain geometrics (cylinders, cubes, like that) and then let you modify those basic solids *while retaining* the rotational/bendable axes, that'd be useful IMO.

I'll try to do a search on ZBrush.Revently I've been trying to DL somethign called "SketchUp", which is supposed to be a quick'n'easy Architectural modeler.
WHat I actually need is to have electrodes planted in my brain and a prodram that can read my mental images directy and send them to a 3D program <LOL!>

Well, they keep saying it's one way to avoid or at least delay ALzheimers. Since I'll be 50 next year, I'm starting to worry about that ;) !

I had tried it briefly but it IMO it was just about the most AWFUL program (of *any* type) that I've ever tried to figure out. The interface is a total nightmare. To me, even using it for free was too high a price, that is how much I hated it.

It's a bit like the difference between carpet bombimg with a big, noisy B-52, versus slipping in with a little Stealth fighter-bomber and using precision bombing. I found LW to be unnecessarily complicated, totally illogical, not even romotely intuitive, and cumbersome. The stupid MENUS =>:-p take up way too much of the screen, for one thing.
That's something I do really love about tS - I love the interface. Since I think visually, it's easy and fast for me to use the icons because I can form that direct visual connection between, for example, "the orange stick man" and the concept/fact that "stick man"=individual sticks=break down object into its own individual parts - as opposed to having to remember 14 layers of nested menus listing obscurely-worded, undescriptive wordy titles.
I've very rarely had to return to the tS manual, because most of the icons/functions are so intuitive. To use LW, I'd have to memorize a freakin' encyclopedia before I could figure out how to make a simple sphere. So, however "powerful" LW may or may not be, to me, and for me, it's basically nothing but useless junk and a waste of time.
It's be more useful to me to go back and try to figure out Calculus - at least I can apply it to situations I come across.
>years a go it was considered a King now it's just considered a old bum. >Nurbs could be a power house IF ...
It'd be interesting to see what tS7 has done vis'a'vis Nurbs ;) !
