Back Hello all
It is interesting how TrueSpace can serve Canvas Painters to prepare paints -
Selecting the primitives objects copying them on the screen any number of times gets countless number of objects with which color you mix in the materials editer can be applied. Colors can be contrasted with a real scene to determine exactly which paints must be prepared for your pallete or they can be mixed differently to see how they might better improve the artist work.
I can see other ways the painters ability might be improved with TrueSpace tools as well. Given a scene, a painter can take a real close look at the painting and visualize just what it is composed of. Even parts of it ! They can observe too, how it may be possible to apply their natural ability (whatever the level).
It is difficult for the Oil painter to visualize how to capture a method to achieve a desired result especially once the paint is on the canvas and hardening up. I think the TrueSpace workspace can assist with focus techniques for Oil painters pointed resolve on canvas.
Finding a place in the 3D workspace and setting something down the paintere can exercise their observing "how to do" painters eye towards visualizing a brush strokes effect without getting too stoned from turpentine.
Setting up to paint Color values of painted objects can be found in Xp by right clicking on the screen, selecting properties, the desktop tab, select color to bring up the color display click other to bring up the custom color selector. Here you will see the color references on the right hand side of this display box. Red Green and Blue with thier values. Hue Saturation and luminance can be read too. Just match em up.
I am not sure whether you can paint like an oil painter in the TS workspace but I think there might be a way. How very useful this tool is.
Hava great time all
David
