Back Thinking back to tS 4.3 there was a "crumple" shader which I used with a good degree of success with water surface. I am not even sure if I have it anymore or if it is available. Maybe there is someone on this list who could help a bit better?
Cheers Dave

This computer system sounds like it would run any 3d authoring application like a hot knife through butter. I'm still using a old comp and I plan on buying and assembling a new system. Perhaps any one can suggest a configuration not just support top of the line gaming but also those directx 9 features? Sadly I still only have Truespace 4.3 and it works for me even on this old putter. Oh, yea I been a lurker for a while. Recently just back into the hobby of programming plugins. I dont plan on releasing any thing, since they are for ts4.3 really. However I do have them working with 5.2 and 6.6, but I still dont understand the math behind nurbs and the API doesnt really help in that area (got a lofting program that i'd like to make work for ts5+). The Truespace SDK is the best one I ever used. Unless you're a math wiz, stay away from Cinema4d SDK lol Speaking of plugins, I havnt seen anything new. I guess plugin making is old school huh? Shaders are always useful plugins but rendering isnt a concept I really understand yet. I still like to play around with geometry. Other than for major game character and other modeling and animation projects, Truespace is a really nice application regardless of what the snubs say. The gallery pretty much proves that. If I got into the business of interrior design or architectural design, Truespace is the best tool to use unless of course you're doing it to use for building, then you'd want to jump to autocad or whatever suits your needs. I hope info on Ts7 is out soon. I suppose you guys want to know if I've done any rendering. Well no, I have no desire or the talent. However I still like to play around once in a while. I got a WIP, you can view it at http://www.geocities.com/element8mm/3dart/scifi02wip01.jpg I guess what I was going for here was a Myst sorta world. The only thing I find frustrating is working with Truespace fog. It would be super better if fog were calculated in volume or world space instead of view space. But I can work with it for stills. Fog also seems to seep into whatever has truespace or custom transparancy. But its funny I'm complaining about truespace 4.3. =P I'm having trouble creating realistic water too. Any suggestions? I have no trouble creating atmospheres, but water top is really hard. Not sure where I am going with this scene. I have a lot of unfinished scenes in my truespace folder, heh. That truespace 7 scene/object live shairing feature is something may get me into CG art more often (sounds like fun).
Now back to lurking....
