Hello everyone,
I must say I'm a bit disappointed. The question was
if anyone knew when we can expect to stop recieving
messages from the TSML, and suddenly everyone starts
talking about how "all the other software" is better
than TS, that TS users are old timers and stuff like
that. I have used XSI (the demo version) and have
seen Maya Learning Edition and also 3DS Max. Though
I'm sure they are great apps, they are way out of my
budget.
For me, at least, trueSpace is the best solution for
my 3D needs: within the budget and easy to learn/use.
I don't intend to buy version 7 (at least, not yet).
So why's everyone talking about the other apps? Is
that even allowed? If we are recieving messages from
this list, it means that at least at one point, we
thought TS was worth our time.
Every month I look at the pictures in the galleries
at Caligari.com, and I look at the pictures the rest
of you often submit to this list for commentary and I
think "Wow, TS can do THAT?" TS may not have the
capabilities of the other, more expensive apps, but it
can do pretty amazing stuff. I personally think TS is
on par with any of the other apps.
The only thing lacking from TS, it seems, is
community support. Every time a question like the one
I asked pops up, everyone starts talking about how
they moved on to other, supposedly better, apps.
Just my opinion.
