Collaboration is not the only point, maybe not even the biggest point of TS7.
As I just posted on Forum, TS7 is really big. When multi-cores arrive, sparks
will start to fly.

I'll admit that I've never really collaborated with anyone on anything
in 3D (except for a tutorial once), and my current project list (blend
of professional and personal) doesn't really call for it either, but I
am excited about it nonetheless. Aside from the obvious advantages, I
can see (depending on how it is implemented) how it could benefit live
production pipelines. Maybe a real-time reference model scenario? Live
trueSpace University?
At any rate, creating this feature may have many long lasting affects
upon a lot more than trueSpace, and I'm excited to see/be apart of would
could possibly be the next big step in the evolution of computers,
communication, etc. (I'm thinking way out there...) I hope that your
concept is open enough to be used in other applications and mediums
eventually.
I remember what you said (some time ago) about multi-core processors
when no one else was talking about it, and look what happened! :)
