TSML Closing 2005-04-28 - By Matthew Chan
Back Hiya, Even though Caligari has a forum now, it still seems that it's nice to have the mailing list around. Not every user has the time to spend on forums browsing through the posts, nor the bandwidth to do real-time collaboration in tS7. If the current mailing list is taking too much time to maintain, there are probably alternatives out there for setting up mailing lists. Something like a yahoo group, or maybe like a lower-end mailing list software (Something like Mailman? are we still using Listsrv?). Then again, there are other opportunities for users to communicate, like in the renderosity truespace forums, #truespace IRC (which I highly recommend :P). I don't go back quite as far as tS1, but I've enjoyed (most of the time :P) reading the TSML since the tS2 days, and have learned alot from it. It would be a pity if it were to close down now. Is there anything Caligari can do to help revitalize the list? DaveA's numbers were pretty scary..
sigh, let's go render sumpthin! :)
