Back If you go to alias.com, you'll find a list of MR issues with answers to some basic mentalray questions you may find helpful in the beginning. Essentially, you're on the right path -- render globals and some additional light/shader tabs is all the mentalray you'll see in the interface. Enabling mentalray shaders is possible (the faq explains the process), but not necessary. You might also want to read the version 'release notes' for any MR limitations in the current maya implementation. mental ray forum on highend3d is another good resource. cheers, - igor
Hi I have a Maya mental ray question for windows. I was wondering is there an actual interface for the Mental ray render in Maya besides in the render global? Or is that the only place to find it ? Can you see the Mental Ray shaders at anytime or how does this all work. I 'm new to using Maya's version of mental ray. Any help would be very much appreciated..
thank you
