MessageIn 3D modeling, if it doesn't show don't model it. The geometry you
create making eye holes is just an unnecessary burden on your resources.Usung
an eyeball will give you the template you need. Do it in solid mode to ensure
that the eyeball doesn't break through the 'skin'.

I really like what you have so far. Do you mind a few novice questions?
Any tutorials you found especially helpful for the head? I've glanced at many
, but I'm always interested in more. It looks as though you're using subdivision
surfaces, is that right? Are you mirroring half of a control mesh?
I find the eyelids very interesting. That's a difficult area for me. Any tips
on how to get the eyelids fitting closely around the eyeball?
When I look at some of the trueSpace facial animator heads, it looks as
though there aren't actually "holes" in the head for the eyes. Are there
disadvantages to having these actual holes in the head for the eye sockets?
Sorry for the catalog of questions. Whatever you can say is interesting.
 Linus
P.S. Some may say it's crazy for a novice to try the human head, but for
myself, I find it a very effective way to learn various things, and the SS
technique is a lot of fun.
