Back I don't know if it's everybody's choice. There's always the crunch time 16 to 24 hours a day of work but honestly I don't think it should be the norm. Especially if I compare to other countries. It's good to work hard but it's better to work smart, IMHO If someone is consistently working 16 hours a day, he or she should pocket the financial profit of it at some point. (and by profit I mean that those hours should be paid at a rate that is higher than minimum wage or whatever that person thinks it's worth) If not someone else is pocketing it and you're being abused. But hey we're all free! Where it bothers me is when the competition (if any, because I think the clients I deal with would be worried about my abilities if they would see me scrambling for 16 hours a day, knowing that NO ONE is efficient 16 hours a day) tries to undercut others by lumping two jobs in one or working double for the same price. They are not doing themselves a favor and they are not doing anyone a favor.
