it just might be easier to model in solid out line.
it would drive me nuts trying to model in transparent outline.
found this link to Oliver Rohe tutorial.
to small n compressed to see if the topology is right.
is there a larger version some where ?

is there a .jpg of Oliver,Kary meshes any where ?
none of the facial animator meshes topology our right.

your getting at, modeling with solid outline, vs
transparent???
