Back "run an edge all the way around the mesh." That's what they call loops.it's the main tool ya use when modeling in most main 3D apps. LW's is called bandsaw,C4D's is called knife.but they all make loops. Maya really got ragged for not having this tool.= to building a mansion on sand. anyways if the geometry "topology" is bad then it will not bend right. http://forums.caligari.com/discus/messages/1583/17881.html <http://forums.caligari.com/discus/messages/1583/17881.html> the way u have your faces topology don't see how ya would get it to smile. u post using "draw object as transparent out line" might see better if ya use "draw object as solid out line." http://www.atomic-3 (See http://mic-3.ora-code.com)d.com/RK_Tutorial/RK_Sub_D_Quads.htm <http://www.atomic-3 (See http://mic-3.ora-code.com)d.com/RK_Tutorial/RK_Sub_D_Quads.htm> see how the topology is from the side of the nose to the ends of the mouth. this mesh will smile. it is never OK to have bad topology. #1 rule for modelers is to always have very good looken, absolutely excellent topology. Out of the 100's of 1000's 3D'ers only a small % can model a humans. 3D is already 100 x's harder then any other media and modeling humans our 100 X's harder then anything else in 3D. animating humans 100^100 only the insane our crazy enough to even try ;) but I think your courageous for trying so keep at your get there. when ya past the sign that reads "Twilight zone " ya know your 1/2 way there :) RorrKonn rorrkonn@(protected) <mailto:rorrkonn@(protected)> http://www.atomic-3 (See http://mic-3.ora-code.com)d.com <http://www.atomic-3 (See http://mic-3.ora-code.com)d.com> TS6.6 SP2,LW7.5c,Basic C4D 9 + BP2, zBrush 2,Poser 5,DAZ,Visual C++. Is that saying basically it's okay not to have good looking geometry? As long as it blends well? .. I keep thinking that I am not doing the way most do when I dont run an edge all the way around the mesh.
