Subject: Re: [TSML] rosetta

I half to build a new PC this spring,it became a tradition building a
new PC every other year.
this PC has GeForce2 card now.since I've tryed out GeForce thought of
trying out ATI.
never has ATI card but I know there popular.herd rumbles of them not
keep drivers around for older cards since I am going to run the new PC
for 2 years not sure if I should go with ATI or not.

I went from a Geforce 2 to the Radeon 9600XT, its a huge world of
difference.
BUT as a game player, I had a bit of tinkering to do with my favorite
older games.

The 9600XT is the steriod powered 9600. and on a budget its got much of
what you will see in a 9800.
(But a 9800XT is even better than a 9800)

Nvidia and Radeon have both pros and cons... they each have strong
points where the other is weaker.
a 9600XT is comparable in most points as a Geforce 5900xt and exceeds it
in many ways.(Except for Doom3 perhaps)

Price checking as 9600xt 128MB DDR is now under $200 Canadian ($165 US)
