TS7 pricing 2004-12-19 - By Joel Blackwell
Back "zBrush Micro Displacement did rock the Pro world."
What the... why on earth would standard displacement (not even micro poly) amaze the 'pro world' when that kind of thing has been around for years? Zbrush is a popular app with a number of pro guys because it makes certain poly editing tasks, and the creation of displacement/normal maps a great deal easier. It provides the best new way of digitally sculpting a polygon model (and combining that power with a 2D drawing package).
Some pro guys love it because of what it can do, and other pro guys dislike it because the interface is unrefined and clumsy. It's not simply a 'pro app' because of its bumps.
